Anne Joyce is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in theatre. It was there she first studied photography. Discovering a way to merge her passion for acting and photography, she became a film set photographer.
Anne was selected to participate in the Art and Commerce Festival of Emerging Photographers, the "Guess" Behind the Lens exhibition, and was a finalist in the W Magazine competition "W:The Art Project – Obsession".
Recently Anne has explored the polaroid format by shooting with a land camera and also printing onto polaroid paper. The color interpretations, size, and intimacy of the polaroid suit a feeling of nostalgia and beauty that appeal to her.
In December 2008 Anne had her first solo show, "A Celebration of the Polaroid".
